Quilts at the American Museum of Folk Art!

via the American Folk Art Museum

2011 marks the Year of the Quilt, proclaims the American Folk Art Museum. The first installment of “Quilts: Masterworks from the American Folk Art Museum” is now open and I can’t wait to check it out. A traditionally female and undervalued craft, quilting stands for a plethora of significances in American craft-centered feminism. So let’s throw a bit of feminist celebration at this exhibit! Also good to know, the museum has two-for-one admission for the month of January!
