Whole Wheat Angel Hair Pasta with Garlic Rosemary Mushroom Sauce

This dish an uber simple and great for a lazy night spent watching the Office and 30 Rock (or any other seriously hilarious T.V. show). Fresh rosemary is a MUST; dried rosemary doesn’t impart nearly as much flavor and it feels like eating pine needles, but if you’re into that…

1 lb. whole wheat angel hair pasta
a little less than 1/3 cup olive oil
3 large cloves of garlic, crushed
1 package of mushrooms, roughly chopped with stems removed (I used baby bellas, but you can substitute any kind you like)
1 large sprig of fresh rosemary, roughly chopped
salt and pepper to taste

1. Cook the pasta according to the package directions. While the pasta cooks, add the olive oil to a saute pan on medium heat. When the oil is hot, add the crushed garlic.

2. When the garlic is just about golden brown, add the rosemary and mushrooms. Cook for about 4 minutes, or until the mushrooms are deep brown.
3. Combine the mushroom and garlic mix with the pasta (after you’ve drained it, of course). Add salt and pepper to taste.
4. Eat!
